Bron Breakker has been on a roll after his debut in NXT 2.0 back in September 2021. Fans continue to get behind him thanks to his natural charisma and overall looks and in-ring skills. In fact, Breakker is also content with his current NXT name as well.

Breakker has already established himself as a proper star in NXT. The company has faith in him, as evident by his current reign as the NXT Champion. His real name is Bronson Rechsteiner and many fans wanted his name to be similar to his father Rick Steiner’s.

While speaking with Jimmy Varsallone, Bron Breakker talked about his change in name. Bron Breakker stated that he feels his name is finally growing on him.

“That’s just to be different, man. It’s another way to make myself different from everybody else. I love the name man and I think it’s great and it’s growing on me a lot. I think the fans as well are helping me with welcome arms and I love it, man. I’ve fully embraced it and I think it’s fantastic. I’m having fun getting creative with it.

It’s something I came up with. I thought of how I was in football like when I would go to block people and try to break people in half and I was sitting around at home and I was like I tried to break people in football and I try to break people in sports entertainment and well I could be like a breaker or something like that and here we are.”

Breakker is set to defend his NXT Championship against Joe Gacy at NXT In Your House. We will have to wait and see if their feud will finally reach a satisfying conclusion after that. The company surely has huge plans for the young star as well.
