Randy Orton is a true veteran in the pro wrestling world as he has competed inside the squared circle for over two decades now. He has been a significant part of WWE and has always excelled in any role given to him. Orton is human at the end of the day and there were some storyline pitches that even he did not want to do.

Orton was seen as a very troublesome person backstage in WWE during his early days. The Viper would eventually become a better person after meeting his wife Kim and he even gave her some credit for that change.

The shoo-in WWE Hall of Famer was married to Samantha Speno before Kim. He finalized his divorce from Speno in June 2013 and eventually married Kim in November 2015.

While speaking on The Universal Wrestling Podcast, former WWE writer Matt McCarthy revealed that WWE’s then-Senior Vice President of Creative and Development Eric Pankowski wanted a superstar to reference Orton’s daughter and Speno during an angle. McCarthy then stated that Orton blew his stack after that idea was pitched to him.

“Whoever his opponent was was going to mention Randy’s wife and Randy’s daughter. I believe that this was the scenario, and Randy blew his stack… Randy was just like, ‘Why don’t we keep my f***ing work at my f***ing work? Leave my f***ing family in my f***ing family’s house,’ or something like that. It was just like, ‘Wow, I don’t think Randy likes this idea.’ That was wild.”

Randy Orton is more than happy with Kim right now and he wouldn’t have it any other way. Orton and Matt Riddle lose their RAW Tag Team Titles to The Usos on this week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown. We’ll have to see what the company has planned for Team RK-Bro.
