Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson remains one of the most popular pro wrestlers to have ever stepped foot inside the squared circle. He was a true icon in WWE and his stock only rose after The Rock made his way to Hollywood, where he is now the highest-paid actor in the industry.

However, The Rock certainly did not have the best of starts in WWE as his Rocky Maivia character was largely panned by fans and eventually led to the infamous ”Die Rocky die” chants.

While speaking on the latest episode of Something to Wrestle with Bruce Prichard, Bruce Prichard stated that The Rock and Randy Orton understood each other as they were both third-generation Superstars.

“Rock was really happy to be working with a guy like Randy because it was youth and in that Rock was able to see where he was at that age,” Prichard said. “I think Rock had debuted at that point and Rock could look at Randy and go, man, ‘I’ve been there, I’m a third generation.’ So you had two third-generation guys in there in The Rock and Randy Orton so in Orton The Rock saw himself and understood the pressure that was put on him. And you got to live up to not only your father, but you’ve also got to live up to your grandfather and can you do it? Rock was willing to help him along the way.”

Randy Orton recently celebrated his 20th year in WWE. He is more than happy with his current run in WWE and that is what matters in the end.
