WWE holds a few larger events every year and it’s almost like a trophy for a city to host the show. The Royal Rumble is certainly one of the most important events on the company’s schedule and now we know where they are leaning next year.

According to a report from FightfulWWE is likely to take another trip to Texas for a huge event. The 2023 Royal Rumble currently has San Antonio as the frontrunner to host the occasion.

WWE’s Royal Rumble event for January 2023 currently has the Alamodome in San Antonio as the front runner. The event last appeared there in 2017, and it was the site for the 1997 edition. Nothing is official until the venue and location is officially announced. Last year’s Summerslam location was being discussed until fairly close to the actual announce date.

WWE wants to run more larger events and the Alamodome could certainly host such a packed crowd. We will have to see what WWE decides to do, because they have yet to make an official announcement on the matter.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
