Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler are considered one of the best tag teams in the pro wrestling world and there is a good reason for that. Both of them are solid in-ring competitors who can put on excellent matches on their own. Tony Khan recently said that their match will stand the test of time.

AEW owner and President Tony Khan recently appeared on SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio for his “Tony Time” segment ahead of the April 29 edition of Rampage. Tony was asked about the fight between FTR’s Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler on Dynamite recently.

In an Owen Hart Tournament qualifying match, the tag team faced off against each other, with Dax advancing to the first round. Tony said that the match is absolutely worth report viewing. It’s the kind of great wrestling match for a tournament like Owen Hart Cup.

It’s a great match, and it’s absolutely worth repeat viewing. It was a great way to start a great show. I thought Dax versus Cash was an amazing match. It was very much the kind of great wrestling match you want to have, especially in a tournament like the Owen Hart Cup. Both men fought really hard, but there was only one place on the line in this match. CM Punk also brought so much to the match on commentary, I thought, which is another reason why it’s probably worth checking out again.

Tony Khan also revealed that it was Harwood and Wheeler’s idea to make their entrances at the same time, which rarely, if ever, happens between two opponents. The All Elite Wrestling President also believes that the match between Dax and Cash will live on in the minds of professional wrestling fans for a long time.

That’s a match that will stand the test of time. Frankly, FTR have been in a lot of matches in 2022 already that will stand the test of time. We’re not even through April yet, and how many great matches have FTR been involved in this year? So many.

Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler squared off against each other on last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite as part of the Owen Hart tournament. Harwood used a roll-up in order to defeat Cash Wheeler. The match received a ton of props for being a technician masterclass. We will have to wait and see whether Dax Harwood will end up winning the tournament or not.
