MJF ticked off a lot of Pittsburghers before last week’s AEW Dynamite when he posted a picture of himself pretending to make love to a statue of Steelers running back Franco Harris. The statue is housed at the Pittsburgh International Airport and depicts Harris making one of the most famous plays in NFL history, “The Immaculate Reception.” Max also spelled the name of the city wrong on purpose.

Bill Crawford, a host on the popular WDVE Morning Show in the city, tweeted a photo of some security guards standing near the statue. Crawford joked that security was being ramped up in the wake of MJF’s photo. He shared a picture of some guards standing near the iconic figure on Twitter.

MJF quote tweeted the photo Crawford posted. Being the quintessential heel of AEW, Friedman doubled down. He said he would be back for more.

“I’m gonna do it again.”

Crawford was surprised at how many people fell for the joke, tweeting, “The amount of people that took this seriously is shocking and hilarious.” The statue is a popular photo-op for visitors to the city. No special security detail appears to have been added because of MJF.

This isn’t the first time MJF has trolled an entire city. Before AEW’s Beach Break special, he misspelled “Cleveland.” It’s all in day’s work for one of wrestling’s most effective bad guys.
