Eddie Kingston made his AEW debut back in July of 2020, where he competed against Cody Rhodes for the TNT Championship during his open challenge. Since then, he has become one of the best parts of AEW television. His most recent match was also not cut as much as initially thought.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer previously reported that AEW had to cut several minutes out of Eddie Kingston and Daniel Garcia’s match on AEW Rampage last week.

While speaking on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer clarified what he had previously said. Meltzer revealed that instead of 10 minutes being cut, only 2 to 3 minutes of the match were actually cut.

“I was told the Kingston match they cut 10 minutes, and somebody had like a clock – they cut several minutes but it was not 10 minutes, it was far less than that. It was maybe two or three minutes.”
