Johnny Gargano was one of the top guys in Triple H’s NXT. Gargano was regularly involved in compelling feuds and stellar matches and that rightfully earned him the moniker of “Mr. TakeOver.”

His rivalry with Adam Cole created some of the most amazing matches and moments in the history of the black and gold brand. The two had amazing chemistry inside the ring.

Gargano took to Twitter to reveal the creation process behind their famous hype video for their TakeOver: New York match. The two created magic with their critically acclaimed two-out-of-three falls match at the 2019 event.

We just came up on the 3 year anniversary of this.. One of my favorite “hype videos” ever.. I had the idea to train in @Browns stadium and to do a “Rocky-esque” training montage for TakeOver NY and the creative wizard @JeremyBorash handled the rest!

Pro wrestling fans will forever remain indebted to these two for carrying the black and gold brand in the wake of Tommaso Ciampa’s injury. Only time will tell where we see Johnny Wrestling once again.
