Adam Page has an insane connection with fans thanks to his relatable character work and technically sound in-ring prowess. He eventually became the AEW World Champion after finally defeating Kenny Omega last year at AEW Full Gear.
Adam Page defended his AEW World Championship against Adam Cole on AEW Rampage last week in a Texas Death Match. It was a blood match that fans certainly enjoyed as well.
In the end, Adam Page finally put down Adam Cole for good and won the match. While speaking on the Drive-Thru podcast, Jim Cornette criticized Page’s technique of throwing punches, slamming him for punching like a girl.
“Adam Page seriously punches like a girl. Did you see why are they all doing fake? They figure if they throw more of them and they’re faster that somehow people cannot see they are not connecting on anything and there’s no steam behind them.”
Page is likely to feud with CM Punk next for the AEW World Championship, so it remains to be seen how the feud will be booked in the coming weeks.
