Samoa Joe surprised the wrestling world when he appeared at the recent ROH Supercard of Honor pay-per-view and signed with All Elite Wrestling. Joe was one of the top free-agent stars in wrestling. The end of his run with WWE left many wondering if Joe had become frustrated with his role.

The ROH Television Champion isn’t one to look back on his past with regret. Joe recently spoke to the New York Post about various topics. One of them was his time with WWE.

Joe quietly relinquished the NXT Championship just before the NXT 2.0 rebrand. After that, he vanished. A re-energized Samoa Joe has since emerged in AEW. Joe said he is looking forward and never allowed himself to become frustrated during his WWE stint.

“I wasn’t overly frustrated with everything. I mean, things like that happen. It worked out at times and sometimes it didn’t and that’s how it goes. I don’t really sit here and dwell on things and punish myself over things that I cannot change or never will be changed. I’m squarely focused on what’s ahead of me and not behind.”

Samoa Joe was attacked on last week’s AEW television by the debuting Satnam Singh. Singh is working with Jay Lethal and Sanjay Dutt to stop Joe’s title reign before it starts. Lethal and Joe both have a long history with Ring of Honor.

We will have to stay tuned to see if Samoa Joe has a better run in AEW than he did in WWE. So far, he is being featured as a top draw for the ROH brand. Joe is looking forward to the future while making peace with the things that didn’t work out in his past.
