Adam Page Thought He Might Die During Match With Bryan Danielson

Adam Page found his success with fans organically thanks to his relatable character work and excellent in-ring skills. He eventually became the AEW World Champion after defeating Kenny Omega last year at AEW Full Gear. Page also thought he might have died during his match with Bryan Danielson.

Adam Page squared off against Bryan Danielson in two highly-lauded matches. The first match was at AEW Winter Is Coming, where the two duked it out in a 60-minute match. It ended in a draw and it showed off just how amazing Bryan Danielson’s cardio is.

While speaking with Chris Van Vliet on the Insight podcast, Adam Page revealed that he thought he might have died during his first match against Bryan Danielson.

“Maybe 60 minutes with Bryan Danielson, just for the fact I wrestled for 60 minutes because I thought, I seriously thought I might die. Like 60 minutes is a long time to do anything, wrestling I thought I might actually perish, I survived it, so I am really proud of that. But I guess for a very different reason, I guess the one that I’m most proud of is the match with Kenny Omega against The Young Bucks yeah, proudest of that.”

Adam Page ended up defeating Bryan Danielson in their next match, earlier this year. Page is likely to feud with CM Punk next for the AEW World Championship, so we’ll have to see how the feud will be booked in the coming weeks.
