Cody Rhodes’ Current WWE Gimmick Called Borderline Heelish

Cody Rhodes departed AEW earlier this year and then made his way to WWE. He is now the second biggest babyface on Monday Night RAW. He was also called a borderline heel recently.

Cody Rhodes has already defeated Seth Rollins and The Miz following his WWE return. His over-the-top entrance and long promos have certainly made him a hit with fans as well.

While speaking on the latest Busted Open show, Bully Ray talked about Cody Rhodes’ current gimmick in WWE. Ray stated he believes Cody Rhodes is a borderline heel right now due to his actions and overall presentation.

”Sometimes the way Cody talks – his tone, his inflection, his words. I genuinely believe that it’s borderline heel. The suit, the way he carries himself, there’s a certain heelish quality.

I believe that Cody is a borderline heel because of the way he presents himself, the way he speaks, the rhythm in which he speaks. He almost talks too slow in a way that he is talking down on people.”

Cody Rhodes also wants a piece of Roderick Strong despite the risk of early retirement. We’ll have to see whether Rhodes will turn heel in WWE one day or not.
