April is a month that will forever live in infamy in the pro wrestling industry. April 15th is the day of mass releases in WWE for the past two years, but 2022 broke that trend. Still, there is some worry within the company that releases are still coming.

April 15th is the proverbial ‘WWE release day.’ The company has been gutting its roster on this very day for the past several years. Now that the date has arrived, concerns have mounted regarding the fate of talents within the company.

According to Sean Sapp of Fightful, however, no word is out within the company regarding potential releases today. To this effect, a WWE higher-up says they don’t know of any releases happening today.

I know a lot of people have been concerned about “WWE release day” today, including much of the talent. At least one higher up told me that they didn’t know of any releases set to happen today, if you’d like to take their word for it.
