Erick Redbeard returned to AEW TV on the road to Revolution. The former Erick Rowan aligned himself with PAC and Penta Oscuro against the House of Black comprised of Malakai Black, Brody King & Buddy Matthews.

Erick recently appeared on Wrestle Buddy podcast to talk about his latest stint with AEW. He said he has no intentions of becoming the on-screen leader of Dark Order because that’s Brodie Lee’s legacy.

Erick also said he wants to perform at the best level and would be open to the idea of returning to AEW provided there’s a story that calls for it. Here’s the bit where he talks about going back to AEW.

“Man, I would love to go and have a feud, a story [in AEW]. I would love to go and have an actual story. That’s why I liked going. There was a short little story where I got to be involved with the House of Black and Penta [Oscuro] and PAC. That was fun, because it was a couple day-story.

“To me, that was cool. It was cool to come back, do a couple things and then leave. There’s so many guys. I would hate to go and just take up space, take up a spot. I don’t like it when guys go in, take up a spot and they have no plans for them and then they just sit there.”

We’ll have to see if Erick Redbeard ventures back to AEW, but he could find a new pro wrestling home. If anything, we know that he won’t be looking to replace Brodie Lee by any means.
