Tony Khan’s recent purchase of ROH has been getting reactions from fans and wrestlers alike. Recently, Doc Gallows provided his thoughts on the AEW president becoming the owner of another wrestling promotion.

Gallows and Rocky Romero sat down with Wrestling Inc. Managing Editor Nick Hausman on The Wrestling Inc. Daily, where Gallows discussed Tony Khan purchasing Ring of Honour. Gallows welcomed the news and believes it will provide opportunities to the young talent and those not able to get enough TV time on AEW.

“I saw it as a positive,” he said. “You look at the influx of Ring Of Honor talent that came over, maybe unsurely to Impact, then you look at the size of the AEW roster, I think there’s going to be a lot of positives there for younger guys, and guys who are competing for television time. To go to Ring Of Honor and cultivate that brand under the guide of AEW.

“Which obviously Tony Khan and the team there is very wrestling positive. The fans, I think want to see that brand continue. So, I think that’s going to be nothing but good to cultivate talent, and give some talent that’s trying to squeeze in there on Dynamite and Rampage a chance to show what they can do as well.”

Gallows is currently signed with Impact Wrestling, where he is one-half of the current Impact World Tag Team Champions with Karl Anderson. He also has a presence in the New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

Both Gallows and Anderson were let go by WWE in April 2020. Since then, they signed with Impact Wrestling and have a constant presence on Impact Wrestling, AEW, and NJPW television.

Tony Khan recently announced the ROH Supercard of Honor scheduled for April 1. This will mark as the first match with ROH under Tony’s ownership.
