Wiliam Regal made his debut during the AEW Revolution pay-per-view. He appeared after Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley’s match and helped them form a tag team. Tony Khan also gave props to Willam Regal recently.

As seen on last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, William Regal cut a passionate promo about why he came to AEW and how he came to know Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley. The promo was unscripted in nature as fans were simply hung onto every word Regal said.

However, his promo time went long which forced change of plans later on as things were rushed. William Regal then apologized for going over time.

While speaking on SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio, AEW President Tony Khan talked about William Regal going over time and apologizing for it. Khan stated that Regal set a great example by doing that.

That was an amazing promo and it sets a great example, I think. Everybody in the back has so much respect for him, and you know, if his interview goes long, it means somebody else might have to cut their interview or their segment short. And that was what happened and it was very cool of him to apologize to anybody that was affected by it, because generally, we try to keep the show moving, try to keep the shows on time. You know, that was very cool of him to do that and he didn’t have to, but he did, and I think it shows what a classy person he is.”

William Regal is certainly happy to be in AEW by the looks of it. Tony Khan also believes Regal will be very beneficial to AEW in the long run. We will have to wait and see how Regal will benefit AEW in the end.
