Mick Foley is one of the most entertaining storytellers in the history of professional wrestling. Foley’s books about his time in the business were critically acclaimed and sold like hotcakes. Mick has even done standup comedy where he incorporates tales from the road. The hardcore legend will soon have a new outlet to share his experiences.

Mick Foley announced on Twitter that he was joining the growing trend of retired wrestlers who host podcasts. The title of the show will be “Foley is Pod.” Mick did not share any other details at this time.

Foley has traveled the world as a wrestler. Listeners can expect stories about hardcore deathmatch wrestling in Japan. Mick is also well-known for his time in WWE and spent a ton of time in WCW, where he feuded with Vader, Sting, and others. There will be no shortage of great wrestling history for Mick Foley to talk about on the show.

There was no information on whether the show will have a co-host. Many former wrestlers have turned to the likes of Conrad Thompson or others to help move their shows along. Ric Flair has recruited former WCW color man and Pittsburgh sports talk host Mark Madden to assist with his show.

Fans have every reason to be excited about Mick Foley’s new podcast. Mick is incredibly articulate and has seen everything there is to see in wrestling. Who knows what we might hear when Foley is Pod eventually launches?
