An August episode of Monday Night RAW featured RAW Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair facing off against Nia Jax in a non-title match. However, the match was a very bizarre one, to say the least. So much so, that it even left Mick Foley confused.

Both competitors delivered stiff shots to each other and the match also included some awkward sports that made fans concerned, especially when Nia Jax delivered a botched backwards suplex to Charlotte Flair.

It was said that Charlotte Flair and Nia Jax tried to work shoot with their match on Monday Night RAW. While speaking on Renee Paquette’s The Sessions podcast, Nia Jax admitted that their match did not go according to plan and she blamed miscommunication for legitimately fighting Flair.

“We were kind of laying into each other, and I was like, ‘What the heck is going on right now?’ And I think at the point where fans saw on TV, I was just like, ‘F*** this, dude. You are laying into me, I have no idea what is going on.’ So I just gave her a two-piece back that kind of rocked her back into like, ‘Let’s finish this match and get s*** together.’

Charlotte is one of my best friends, so it was not like we were sitting there super mad. There was some sort of miscommunication. We got backstage and I literally was like, ‘What the f***?’ I look at her and I said, ‘Are you good?’ She said, ‘Yeah, yeah, out there something went off and I didn’t feel right.”

Charlotte Flair also previously denied that their match had turned into a shoot fight. Nia Jax was released by WWE last year and since then made it clear she has no intention of wrestling ever again.
