WWE revamped NXT in a huge was when they ushered in NXT 2.0. The new vision of WWE’s developmental brand has not been a hit with viewership and that’s impossible to ignore at this point. Now we could see another change for the brand.

Triple H’s handpicked people were fired from NXT in one chunk of releases. This saved Shawn Michaels, who pretty much stands alone as the last remaining Triple H guy. WWE is also said to be happy with HBK’s performance.

Ringside News asked around about the report that Shawn Michaels is spearheading NXT’s broadcasts under the direction of Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard. We were told that the report is “not entirely inaccurate, but it changes day to day with NXT.”

Furthermore, a tenured member of the creative team informed us that NXT might be in for another shift sooner than later. We were told, “don’t be surprised if the entire brand looks different by Mania.”

NXT 2.0 was not a hit with fans and that is obvious. WWE failed to attain the demographic they’re going after and that might call for another change in direction. We’re not entirely sure what else could change, but you never know what can happen in WWE.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
