LA Knight entered NXT from Impact Wrestling where he was Eli Drake. Many fans saw him as main roster ready, and it might not be long until that happens.

Knight made an appearance on Main Event and h was also featured in a backstage video. It seems he could have a read-made rivalry for his call-up.

In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer mentioned that LA Knight is being heavily considered for a call-up sometime in the Spring. The 39-year-old is someone who WWE officials are very high on right now, and that’s a good thing.

There is also talk of putting more Raw and Smackdown talent on NXT to build the ratings like what Styles did. Even though he’s 39, company officials are very high right now on L.A. Knight and as of a few weeks ago he was slated for a main roster spot in the spring, after WrestleMania.

It’s easy to come to this conclusion for Knight. He is ready for the main roster and working to help younger talent in NXT 2.0 is not what he really signed up for. We’ll have to see what happens next, because a few things can happen once Vince McMahon gets his eyes on someone during Main Event.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
