Booker T believes AJ Styles vs Edge Match Would Be A Showcase Match

AJ Styles has been touted as one of the best pro wrestlers by both fans and wrestlers alike. Styles continues to work at high level despite growing older and continues to amaze fans. It seems Booker T commented on a potential dream match for AJ Styles as well.

During the 2020 Royal Rumble, Edge made his shocking return to WWE after 9 years. He also speared AJ Styles in the match and Styles suffered a shoulder injury as a result.

The Phenomenal One recently stated that a match between himself and Edge is very close to happening. Naturally this excited fans quite bit. While speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T talked about a potential dream match between Edge and AJ Styles. Booker T stated that the match would be a meeting of two eras.

“I think that it is definitely a showcase match right there. It’s truly a showcase match with two eras meeting in time. It’s a match that I really think could play out to where the fans watching and be totally awestruck because of the artistry of what those two men could go out and do.

Edge is not the youngest talent on the roster, but his storytelling, right now, is second to none. It does not seem like Edge has missed a step or anything like that. You are not looking at Edge and saying, ‘Man, he shouldn’t be there.’ Edge is like the player-coach right now. He can still come off the bench and give you 25.”

AJ Styles will be participating in the Royal Rumble match on January 29th. After that, we will have to wait and see whether he will feud with Edge or not.
