Shawn Michaels is certainly one of the best in-ring performers to have ever graced a WWE ring. He was touted as Mr. WrestleMania and he truly lived up to the moniker. It seems he didn’t have the best of first impressions with Randy Orton.

Shawn Michaels has always exceeded expectations when it comes to performing in a match and many say that he was so good inside the ring, that Michaels could even have a believable match with a broomstick.

Michaels was also a very controversial figure back in the 90s and his horrible behavior is a well-known fact now. While speaking on The Ringer Wrestling Show, Randy Orton talked about his own growth as a person compared to his early days in WWE to now.

He compared his own journey to Shawn Michaels and claimed that Michaels was hard to be around at first, but eventually got better.

“I was lucky to have some great people in the locker room, I would see how they went about life and how they were with their kids. I got to see Shawn Michaels, who, on all accounts was a complete asshole. And when I met him I even thought he was a p*ssy. However, I saw the change and I heard the stories. And I feel like, it really is a funny thing, the same thing kind of happened to me. Kind of. You know, it’s part of the journey. I think my legacy is the longevity.”

WWE is also said to be very high on Shawn Michaels’ work in NXT 2.0 as of late. We will have to wait and see what is next in store for Shawn Michaels as well.
