Austin Theory Said To Be Better Than John Cena Was At The Same Age

Austin Theory had a memorable run in NXT where he was part of Johnny Gargano’s stable, The Way. He would eventually make his way to the main roster and his fortunes increased from there. It seems Jim Cornette has a high opinion of Austin Theory.

Austin Theory has been engaged in a storyline with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon ever since Survivor Series concluded last year. It also featured him getting slapped by Vince McMahon. Many fans believe Theory is on the cusp of greatness as well.

While speaking on the latest Jim Cornette Experience, Jim Cornette talked about Austin Theory’s current status in WWE. Cornette claimed that Austin Theory is better than John Cena at almost everything when Cena was the same age as him.

“I personally believe John Cena’s only advantage over Austin Theory at this point in both of their careers is that John Cena had better promo skills.

I saw them both at the same age at the same time – I’m sure John Cena as a human being was probably more mature and developed than Austin Theory, because he was that way, he was a f**king mature responsible person even then.

“But Austin Theory is better at everything else at this stage of the game than John Cena was, and I saw both of them,”

Tommy Dreamer also recently urged Austin Theory to not blow his opportunity in WWE. Theory will be competing in his first Royal Rumble match on January 29th, so we will have to wait and see how he will perform in the match.
