Mustafa Ali Could Have Had CM Punk Pipe Bomb Promo Moment In WWE

Mustafa Ali had been working in WWE for quite a long time and was one of the most talented in-ring competitors in the entire company. He is also the former leader of Retribution. It seems Booker T has an interesting take on Mustafa Ali’s situation in WWE.

Mustafa Ali’s previous program in WWE saw him involved in a feud/mentorship with Mansoor on Monday Night RAW. Mansoor did not have any say in the relationship whatsoever. After that, he developed a controversial character which was ultimately nixed by the company after a while.

Ali requested his release from WWE, which came as no surprise for many fans. While speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T discussed Mustafa Ali’s current situation with WWE after he requested his release. Booker T stated that he believes Ali could have a CM Punk pipebomb moment in WWE.

“You remember how miserable CM Punk was before the Pipebomb moment? And then all of a sudden, ‘Boom!’ Rocket on him and send him straight to the moon. Mustafa Ali could very well see himself in the same position. Sometimes when you speak up, somebody listens and say, ‘Well, maybe he is right.’ Sometimes it takes getting to that point when you really do not care anymore. When you get to that point right there, you hold all the power, you really do.”

WWE also recently denied Mustafa Ali’s release request. We will have to wait and see whether Ali will eventually get to leave WWE to pursue his other interests or not.
