Scotty 2 Hotty was one of the mainstays of WWE’s Attitude Era and also during the Ruthless Aggression Era. After getting released by the company in 2007, he returned as a trainer at the WWE Performance Center in 2016. However, he would request his release from the company couple of months ago.

NXT 2.0 made its debut in September last year and it promised an entirely new outlook on the product. While it did bring about quite a few changes, not all of them were met with a positive reception.

With a fresh look and coat of paint, came a new sense of direction which has seen a new set of WWE Superstars, especially the likes of Bron Breakker. However, not quite a few talents have yet to truly connect with the fans.

While speaking with K&S WrestleFest, Scotty 2 Hotty talked about his time working in NXT 2.0, as the former WWE Superstar stated that he hated walking on eggshells.

“Management changing, culture-changing, just a lot of change. Probably COVID had something to do with it, the releases had something to do with it. As everybody knows, whether it’s wrestling or working wherever. It sucks to go to work and be walking on eggshells every day.”

WWE’s mass releases also took their toll on Scotty 2 Hotty. Scotty 2 Hotty recently squared off against Joey Janela at Game Changer Wrestling’s ‘Die For This’ show. We will have to wait and see what is next in store for the former WWE talent.
