Samoa Joe’s accolades as a pro wrestler speak for themselves as he has done all there is to do as far as being an in-ring competitor is concerned. Joe won the NXT Title and was later placed on the main roster, even if he was told he shouldn’t expect to receive call-up.

Samoa Joe has competed against the best of the best in the pro wrestling world and that includes Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle. He squared off against Kurt Angle numerous times in TNA.

On the other hand, Joe faced Brock Lesnar at the WWE Great Balls of Fire pay-per-view in 2017 for the WWE Universal Championship. While the match was a little over six minutes long, fans certainly loved it even if Joe lost the match.

Unfortunately, Samoa Joe was once again released as part of WWE’s latest round of cuts earlier this month. This certainly shocked the pro wrestling world once again.

While speaking on The Kurt Angle Show, Samoa Joe talked about his experience squaring off against both Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle. Joe compared the experience, as he called both of them predators.

I like Kurt (Angle) and Brock (Lesnar). Kurt’s an efficient cougar, like an efficient panther, he is a feline predator. Like quick kill, real slick, fastest. I’ve been around few world-class wrestlers of my time. Kurt’s still got that nice little drop double that just comes out of nowhere, real fast and real quick stuff.”

“Brock’s just Boxer Rampaging Bull [‘Raging Bull’ Jake LaMotta]. He’s the juggernaut, and he runs straight through things. What he can’t out-technique, he will out-power. So I think that’s the best way to describe the difference between Kurt and Brock is that, trust me you are dealing with predators just a slightly different species.”

Samoa Joe is also getting huge interest from pro wrestling promoters. We will have to wait and see whether Samoa Joe will make his way to AEW now that his time with WWE is over.
