Roman Reigns has been the Big Dog in the SmackDown yard ever since he started representing the blue brand. Reigns was recently scheduled to defend that title against Brock Lesnar at Day 1. Roman was diagnosed with COVID-19 and plans had to be changed.

That means the latest WWE superstar to chase Roman’s title is Seth Rollins. Rollins will be making an appearance tonight in a face-to-face confrontation with the champion. WWE announced the segment via Twitter.

“#UniversalChampion @WWERomanReigns and his #RoyalRumble challenger @WWERollins come face-to-face TONIGHT on #SmackDown, 8/7c on @FOXTV!”

Rollins has had plenty of great opportunities lately. At Day 1, he was unable to overcome Brock Lesnar in a five-way-match for the WWE Championship. Now, Seth will try his hand on the other brand.

WWE will also welcome Lita back to SmackDown for the first time in almost twenty years. Sami Zayn will debut his Jackass parody “InZayn” in an effort to get back at Johnny Knoxville. Aliyah will also make her SmackDown singles debut against three-time world record holder Natalya.

Fans have been looking forward to the Royal Rumble feud between Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. SmackDown viewers will get a taste of what’s to come tonight. Two old partners will now square off for the WWE Universal Championship.
