Hulk Hogan is known to say something stupid now and again. The wrestling legend recently got into hot water after implying that several celebrity deaths including Betty White could have been caused by the COVID-19 vaccines. Fans immediately tore into the Hulkster as the backlash only continues to grow.

Hogan was blasted by Jimmy Fallon over the outrageous claims. On last night’s “Tonight Show,” the comedian declared Hulk the new champion of Facebook. Jimmy also noted that if Donald Trump were to get re-elected, Hogan would replace Dr. Anthony Fauci.

“Get this. Hulk Hogan’s under a lot of fire after he suggested that the COVID vaccine is to blame for the recent deaths of some of our biggest celebrities. As a result, Hulk Hogan has been named the Heavyweight Champion of Facebook. You’re laughing now but if Trump’s re-elected, he’s the new Dr. Fauci.”

Fallon joined wrestling fans and others in tearing Hulk Hogan apart for his statements about the COVID vaccines. Health officials have repeatedly said that the vaccines are safe and effective against serious illness relating to COVID-19. The Hulkster instead decided to play scientist himself and spread ridiculous conspiracy theories.

Hulk Hogan has made anti-vaccination statements in the past. Hulk said the virus was a plague sent by God because humans worship celebrities. It’s an ironic take from somebody who has built his career on being famous.

Hogan is just one of many celebrities who have been skeptical of the science behind vaccines. Their influence has surely had a negative effect on public health. Hulk Hogan doesn’t seem to care about anyone but himself.
