Adam Page found his success with fans organically thanks to his relatable character work and excellent in-ring skills. He is also part of one of the most compelling storylines in AEW thanks to his storyline with Kenny Omega. It seems a pro wrestling veteran thinks it’s too early for Adam Page to be the AEW World Champion.

In a culmination of a multi-year-long storyline, Adam Page finally defeated Kenny Omega to win the AEW World Championship – a promise he had made years prior. His organic growth has certainly helped him become a lovable babyface as well.

Since then he has competed in two highly lauded matches against Bryan Danielson, where he even went on to retain his title against Danielson in their most recent bout.

While speaking on the Keepin it 100 Podcast, pro wrestling veteran Konnan gave huge props to AEW for building up stars such as Jungle Boy and Darby Allin. Konnan then stated that he believes it is too early for Adam Page to be the AEW World Champion.

”I applaud AEW for making new stars whether it’s Darby Allin, Jungle Boy or Jade, or even this guy Adam Page. And it does help that you beat the best wrestler twice or at least once because the first one was a tie and you had great matches with him. Despite all this, I still feel like Adam Page shouldn’t be the AEW World Champion, I still feel it’s too early. I still feel it is something he should have given later.”

Fans are certainly enjoying Adam Page’s current run as the AEW World Champion and that is what matters in the end. It remains to be seen what is next in store for Adam Page now.
