Bobby Lashley won the WWE Championship after beating The Miz on Monday Night RAW back in March last year. Since then, he was booked as a very dominant force and had Vince McMahon’s seal of approval. Lashley then lost that title to Big E in a huge moment that fans will always remember.

After that, for the next few months, Bobby Lashley was engaged in a feud with WWE Hall Of Famer Goldberg. Bobby Lashley was defeated at the hands of Goldberg at WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia on October 21st. After a brief absence, he returned to WWE television as well.

Following his return, Lashley earned the right to challenge Big E for the WWE Championship as well. At the WWE Day 1 pay-per-view, Brock Lesnar won the WWE Championship after defeating Big E, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, and Bobby Lashley. Lashley was the only Superstar who had Lesnar’s number on numerous occasions.

While speaking on his Hall Of Fame podcast, Booker T talked about Big E and Bobby Lashley’s WWE Championship reigns. Booker T stated that he felt Big E’s title reign just wasn’t as good as Bobby Lashley’s reign.

“No, I don’t think he had a better run than Lashley either. But there again, just look at how long Bobby has been grooming compared to Big E. He’s got to be in his mid (40’s) or earlier, I’m not sure. I don’t want to throw the man’s age out there.

Let’s think about it, the grooming time for Bobby Lashley compared to Big E. Getting to the point where you do get there and you’re ready to have those types of matches. You’re ready to go out and look dominant and put yourself in a position to have a good run as World Champion.”

There was also proof that Big E was supposed to win the match at the WWE Day 1 pay-per-view. Big E also wasn’t able to qualify for the WWE Title match at the Royal Rumble on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. On the other hand, Bobby Lashley will challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble instead.
