Bryan Danielson is a household name in the world of professional wrestling right now. He spent several years honing his craft in various pro wrestling promotions all over the world before making his way to WWE. It seems Eric Bischoff doesn’t quite understand Danielson’s booking in AEW.

Bryan Danielson turned heel after becoming the #1 contender for Adam Page’s AEW World Championship. He would defeat Dark Order members before squaring off against Adam Page at AEW Winter Is Coming.

At AEW Dynamite Winter is coming, Bryan Danielson challenged Adam Page for the AEW World Championship in what was nothing less than an instant classic between the two competitors.

Both of them gave it their all in order to come out with the win. Ultimately, the match ended in 60 minute time limit draw, due to which Adam Page retained his AEW World Championship.

While speaking on his 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff talked about Bryan Danielson’s current heel persona in AEW. Bischoff stated that he simply believes Danielson’s heel turn does not make sense because he has been doing what any normal babyface would.

“Bryan Danielson turned heel and now he has been going through The Dark Order to get to Hangman Adam Page. He is just not a heel, he is a babyface. He is doing what every one of us who are watching and living vicariously through that character would want to do. I simply do not understand it. Danielson as a heel going after the belt that he has a shot at that he earned, and for some reason he is a heel for doing it.”

We will have to wait and see whether Bryan Danielson will be able to defeat Adam Page during their rematch on the debut episode of AEW Dynamite on TBS on January 5th, 2022.
