AEW bid farewell to Keith Mitchell this week. They even gave their producer special props after his final episode, New Year’s Smash. He will retire after a long career in pro wrestling, and he influenced a new generation until the end of his career.

Britt Baker dropped a story on Twitter about learning the intricacies about camera work. This was all thanks to Keith Mitchell, who invited her into the production truck and showed her a new world of pro wrestling.

So thankful to have had the opportunity to work with Keith. He invited me to the truck to watch the work that goes into the production of professional wrestling. This was when I was really starting to learn and understand camera work, so seeing this whole other side of what goes into making a wrestling show was very eye opening and extremely valuable. We had tons of fun working on many segments in such a short amount of time and I am eternally grateful for everything!

Keith Mitchell was one of the first people Tony Khan hired when he got the wheels in motion to open his own pro wrestling company. Now Mitchell is moving on to retirement, but he was able to help establish something very special on his way out of the pro wrestling business. Britt Baker and so many more are thanking him for a great reason.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
