WWE has been working hard to build hype for the upcoming Day 1 pay-per-view. The company is hoping to make the show a major annual tradition in the vein of the Royal Rumble and Survivor Series. The COVID-19 pandemic has brought a lot of those plans into question.

The company has always existed under the thinking that “The show must go on,” and this will be no exception. Fans have been feeling uneasy about the show as COVID-19 spreads through the WWE locker room and threatens several matches for the pay-per-view.

To keep fans interested, WWE is producing a loaded Raw tonight. They announced that The Street Profits will take on the Mysterios in the finals of the RK-Bro tournament. AJ Styles will also look to get revenge on his former partner Omos. The full card is below:

  • The Street Profits vs. The Mysterios – RK-Bro Tournament Final
  • Damien Priest vs Dolph Ziggler
  • Randy Orton vs Otis
  • AJ Styles vs Omos
  • Finn Balor vs Austin Theory
  • Miz and Maryse Wedding Vow Renewal Ceremony

The live crowd was advertised a couple of dark matches. Those will not be taking place. The company has scrapped WWE Champion Big E vs Kevin Owens vs Seth Rollins vs Bobby Lashley. They’ve also thrown out Becky Lynch vs Bianca Belair. The company needs to be extremely careful about COVID cases as they lead up to the first PPV of 2022. Time will tell if there are any changes coming to the show.
