WWE may be the biggest name to run shows in the Gulf states, but they are not the only ones. A homegrown promotion has made quite a big name for itself with largescale productions throughout the Arab world. The problem is that they’re announcing huge names before they’re 100%.

The wrestling promotion in question is Qatar Pro Wrestling (QPW). It is the first and only professional wrestling association in the Middle East. QPW has been around since 2013 and has put up great wrestling shows to date.

The Qatar-based wrestling promotion has planned another huge event for pro wrestling fans in the Middle East. According to Fightful Select, Several big names including Adam Scherr (fka as Braun Strowman) are expected to work the event.

“Adam Scherr and EC3 being promoted for an upcoming Qatar Pro Wrestling show, we’ve told that isn’t a slam dunk as of yet. We are told that as of last week, Adam Scherr and EC3 have not committed and no contracts have been signed for the two to appear at the QPW wrestling show in which they are advertised.”

In addition to the two, Killer Kross has also expressed his willingness to appear on the show thought no official word is out as of this writing. Previously, QPW had slipped the word they had reached out to Bryan Danielson with an offer to work the event.

“QPW had also let out news of Bryan Danielson agreeing to work dates for them, but we’re told no contract had been signed as of that time, either. We’re unsure if that changed and have reached out to AEW.”

The upcoming QPW event will emanate from the Lausail Sports Arena in Doha on February 26, 2022. The arena has a seating capacity for more than 20,000 spectators.
