Liv Morgan has worked hard to establish herself as one of the mainstays of the women’s division on Monday Night RAW. Morgan received tons of fan backing over the past few months, which elevated her to the main event picture. It seems her recent match was made the main event at the last minute.

For the past few weeks, Becky Lynch and Liv Morgan have been engaged in a feud, which is certainly Morgan’s best to date. Morgan challenged Becky Lynch for the RAW Women’s Championship earlier this month on Monday Night RAW. It was also the main event of the show.

Liv Morgan put on the performance of a lifetime as she did all she could to defeat Becky Lynch and become the RAW Women’s Champion. Despite her best efforts, Liv Morgan lost the match after Becky Lynch won in a controversial fashion.

While speaking to Prosiebenmaxx, Liv Morgan revealed that Big E vs Kevin Owens was supposed to be the main event of that night, but then the change was made to have Morgan and Lynch close out the show at the last moment.

“Not until that day did Becky Lynch and I were made aware that we were main eventing RAW. Throughout the week I was hoping, I was hoping so much that we would get to main event because I really want to pay homage but also so that we could do our own thing and I just was hoping it would be the main event.

Then I discovered a couple hours into the day that we were going to be the main event because originally, we were not. We were not going to be the main event. It got switched and so it was just so special.”

Becky Lynch is set to defend her RAW Women’s Championship against Liv Morgan at WWE Day 1 on January 1st next year. We will have to wait and see how will end up winning this time.
