WWE released the IIconics during one of the company’s mass firings. They have both landed in Impact Wrestling where they immediately won the Knockouts Tag Team Titles. That adjustment period had to come fast for the IInspiration.

Jessica McKay revealed the people who helped her and tag team partner Cassie Lee following their release from WWE. Both had a stint in the WWE prior to their release in April of this year.

The former Billie Kay sat down with Fightful Select for an interview. She spoke about her and Lee’s brief stint as solo performers as well as their eventual departure from WWE.

McKay, 32, credited her former colleagues including RAW Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and Natalya for helping both her and Lee sort things out following their WWE exit.

“This is all brand new to us, being outside of WWE. We’ve been with them for six years, ever since we moved to America. So our manager really helped us.”

“But he really helped us navigate through. People that we’ve reached out to were our closest friends with WWE. Like, we talk to Becky a lot. Nattie. Liv. People who said that they supported us and were there for us. Which was nice.”

McKay and Lee signed with Impact Wrestling following in October this year and made their debut as The IInspiration at the company’s Bound For Glory PPV, where they won the Impacts Knockout Tag Team Championship.
