Hook, who is the son of AEW commentator and former ECW and WWE star Taz, has been featured on AEW television as the silent enforcer of Team Taz. Many fans doubted he would ever wrestle in the first place. It seems Mark Henry thinks Hook has a bright future in AEW.

Hook made his in-ring debut on this week’s episode of AEW Rampage, where he squared off against Fuego Del Sol. Hook was certainly very impressive in his in-ring debut, as he made short work of Del Sol.

His impressive win even resulted in Hook blowing up on social media and his debut racked up larger numbers than even Bron Breakker’s did. AEW held off his debut for a good reason as well.

While speaking on Busted Open Radio, WWE Hall Of Famer Mark Henry shared his thoughts on Hook’s in-ring debut last week. Henry stated that he sees Hook becoming a bonafide star in AEW within the next three years.

“There’s some people guys, I hate to be a pessimist because normally you know I’m an optimist. You know I like the positive side but everybody’s not gonna make it. Everybody that you see that comes on, they’re not gonna stick. It’s just the nature of the business.

From that first opening impression, I think Hook’s gonna stick, man. I think that he’s a guy that can evolve and that’s the thing in pro wrestling if you don’t evolve if you don’t change with the times you’re not gonna be around very long.

I can see him in the next three years, as AEW grows, being one of AEW’s future stars. Like, I mean a legit bonafide star.”

The AEW roster was also ecstatic about Hook’s in-ring debut. Fans also believe Hook will become world champion in AEW someday. It remains to be seen what is next in store for Hook now that he has already impressed many within the company.
