Britt Baker is in the middle of her first reign as the AEW Women’s Champion. She has already defeated some top guns in the division so far.
Back in May 2021, Baker defeated Hikaru Shida at Double or Nothing pay-per-view event to win the title back. The outcome of that fight broke Shida’s reign. The impressive reign had lasted for 372 days.
Baker has crossed halfway through Shida’s reign record but she still has ways to go to break that record. She is however, closing in on an impressive milestone herself. She has held the title for 195 days and has beaten some serious opponents in her reign.
The following week, she will surpass 200 days as champion. She is currently the second-longest reigning champion. Following her is Riho, the inaugural champion, who held the strap for 133 days. At fourth is Nyla Rose who held the title for 101 days.
Baker’s most recent title clash was up against Tay Conti. It was at the November Full Gear pay-per-view event where Baker stood her ground to defend her belt. 172 days more until Baker breaks Shida’s record. Let’s see if she can make that a reality.
