WALTER will return to the German promotion where he first made a name for himself. The former NXT United Kingdom Champion will return to celebrate Westside Xtreme Wrestling’s 21st anniversary. Not only will the WWE superstar make an appearance, but he’ll also wrestle a match.
The promotion announced via Twitter that WALTER will take on Cara Noir at the anniversary show. The event takes place on December 18, 2021, in Oberhausen at Turbinehalle. This will be his first match for the promotion since before COVID restrictions hit in the spring of 2020.
WALTER has an impressive history with wXw. He’s a 3-time Unified World champion for the organization. The Austrian powerhouse has also held their tag titles on four occasions. He’s teamed with Ilja Dragunov, Zack Sabre Jr, and more in the company.
WALTER’s most recent WWE match was during last month’s European tour. He took on Cesaro in a series of matches that were very well-received by fans. WWE plans to release the bouts eventually.
WALTER dropped the NXT UK title to Dragunov after an impressive 870-day reign. The title bout was one of the most hard-hitting in recent memory. The two met at NXT Takeover 36.
WALTER is expected to be called up to the main WWE roster at any time. His unique size and in-ring ability make him a huge fan favorite. He leads the Imperium faction along with Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner, who are the current NXT Tag Team Champions.
