Bryan Danielson’s accolades as a professional wrestler certainly need no introductions as they proved to be one of the best in the business. He spent several years working in WWE as one of their top stars and towards the end of his run, Bryan Danielson was even part of WWE Creative. It seems Bryan Danielson was interested in competing in the MMA world.

Danielson’s debut in AEW is considered one of the most impactful debuts in recent memory as well. Danielson had previously mentioned his desire to wrestle in other pro wrestling companies and that’s exactly what he did in the end.

Bryan Danielson is also a huge MMA fan and it seems he even wondered if he should compete in an MMA fight from the looks of it.

While speaking to Ariel Helwani on The MMA Show, Bryan Danielson was asked if he will ever do an MMA fight. Danielson admitted he has flirted with the idea but ultimately, it’s simply not feasible.

“That’s just not how I’m wired. I was super proud of him, because it’s such a huge leap. And Punk is somebody who, it’s not like ever did super competitive sports. It’s very different from Brock Lesnar jumping to UFC, who has a high-level amateur wrestling background, who’s just a monster of a human being as far as physique-wise and athletic ability-wise. To be kind of famous and then to then just put yourself out there like that, I thought it was really, really cool. I’m someone who, I kind of flirt with the idea of doing an MMA fight. And then my wife will tell me, ‘What a bad idea!’”

Danielson is currently set to square off against Miro in the finals of the AEW World Title Eliminator tournament at AEW Full Gear on November 13th. It remains to be seen how he will fare in the match.
