NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa has no plans to put his title on the line against frenemy Johnny Gargano. He has even asked his former DIY associate to “stay away from me.”

In an interview with Planeta Wrestling, the 36-year-old talked about various things such as the WWE UK tour and the rebranding of NXT as NXT 2.0. It is worth mentioning that Ciampa was announced as one of the talents who’d perform at the live event in UK.

“I am super excited for it,” he said. He continued: “I am excited for live U.K. crowds again, I haven’t been here in three years, maybe more, and I haven’t been in front of a live crowd outside the Performance Center for 20 months, a long time, so I am very excited about it.”

The former NXT tag team champion also shut down the possibility of putting his NXT championship on the line against former partner Johnny Gargano, asking him to chase the North American title instead.
