Samuray Del Sol tweeted out something about Brodie Lee, but he called him John. That is not how Brodie spelled his government name, and plenty of people let him know how Jon Huber spelled his name including Chris Jericho and Amanda Huber. There was apparently some heat on the former Kalisto for that.

He later apologized for the tweet and some pointed out double standard that he was dragged so heavily. New information about the situation sheds some light on why he was criticized so much for this statement.

According to Bryan Alvarez on from the Wrestling Observer, Jericho had something to say about Kalisto’s tweet because he was not a friend of Brodie Lee’s back in the day. There is a feeling that Samuray Del Sol didn’t need to namedrop Brodie at all.

There are also rumors that others backstage in AEW were slightly bothered by his tweet. We will have to see if Samuray Del Sol gets another invitation from Tony Khan’s company.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
