WWE changed a lot when NXT 2.0 started after Vince McMahon made the call to give the program a makeover. Those NXT Superstars are also getting a little extra guidance along the way.

According to a report from Fightful Select, WWE is helping their NXT Superstars understand some of the reasoning behind certain production decisions. This includes things that might seem basic, but they help tell the story of a match on television.

Mandy Rose told the outlet that WWE invited some Superstars into the production truck so they can receive tips. It was said that something like holding a facial expression for an extended amount of time so multiple cameras can get a shot was part of the training. The main roster is also helping out NXT production as well with tips.

An example that she provided was holding a facial expression for a certain amount of time for one or more cameras to catch it. We’ve been told that NXT production has also been given tips in recent months from the main roster staff.

Kevin Dunn is around NXT as an acting producer so the main roster’s influence will be noticed. We will have to see how far reaching that influence becomes as weeks go by.

WWE used to rely on Full Sail University students to do a lot of the NXT production work. It seems that partnership dwindled when NXT moved out of Full Sail Arena during the pandemic. Now WWE is doing what they can to give NXT some tips so it can further improve the brand’s presentation on television.
