Vince McMahon continues to bet on the relationship between WWE and Saudi Arabia. The controversial partnership has led to big money, but also big negative press. It doesn’t appear that any amount of controversy will stop McMahon from going for the cash.

McMahon flew back to Saudi Arabia after the Crown Jewel event on October 21. According to Dave Meltzer in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, McMahon made a planned trip back to the country to talk business.

“Vince McMahon went back to Saudi Arabia this week. This was not a sudden thing as McMahon had planned to fly over for the show, return home and then go back the next week for more business related discussions.”

The nature of those business discussions is unknown. WWE does plan to return to Saudi Arabia for more shows in the future. The business meeting likely involved planning for those future shows.

WWE’s return to Saudi Arabia is tentatively set for February and October of 2022. As we learned from the pandemic, things are always subject to change. For now, it looks like there will be two Saudi shows next year.

Company representatives were said to be happy with the Crown Jewel. The show was headlined by a Universal title match between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns. Reigns was able to successfully defend the title.
