WWE wants to create characters in NXT as part of their developmental brand. Halloween Havoc included a lot of title changes as each match saw a change. The main event saw Tommaso Ciampa walk into Halloween Havoc on October 26th with Goldy, and he was able to retain Goldy against Bron Breakker.

Bron Breakker, son of Rick Steiner, has received props for not relying on his family’s name. That name change wasn’t really his call, but he still took the Breakker name and made it his own.

Tommaso Ciampa and Bron Breakker tore each other apart in the main event of Halloween Havoc. Near the end of the match, Tommaso Ciampa hit a DDT to Breakker on the exposed concrete. That move legit busted Breakker open all it took was a couple knees and two Fairytale Endings from Ciampa to seal the deal.

Following that brutal conclusion to Halloween Havoc, Karrion Kross tweeted out to share his praise for how Ciampa was able to step it up when he needed to against the much younger Breakker.

A motivated killer is a Psycho Killer.

We’ll have to see what’s next for Bron Breakker. Odds are he is still a future NXT Champion, but that will have to wait. Halloween Havoc was still full of surprising moments even if then main event didn’t end in a title change.
