Miro Gets Big Props From Jim Cornette For Getting Over With His Promos

Miro made his debut in AEW last year and there were lot of expectations from him as he had proven to be a great performer. Miro finally lived up to his potential after defeating Darby Allin for the TNT Championship. Since then he was booked as a very strong champion. It seems Jim Cornette had a lot of praise for Miro’s recent promo.

Miro became a sought after champion in AEW. His pure dominance over his opponents has certainly put the pro wrestling world on notice. He would then lose the TNT Championship to Sammy Guevara last month.

On last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Miro cut a blistering promo as he was no longer God’s Favorite Champion. It helped make Miro trend in huge way on social medial as well.

While speaking on his Drive-Thru podcast, Jim Cornette talked about Miro’s promo last week. Jim Cornette gave Miro massive props for being able to get over with his promo work.

“Miro, now he is cutting promos on God; the guy has been getting over with me. Usually, I have less appeal for these people as the more I see, but Miro is definitely getting over. He asked God ‘why have you forsaken me? You gave me, what was it, a body of granite but a neck of sand’ because they are playing that he is vulnerable to the DDT or whatever.

But Miro wants his belt back, or elsewise he will be switching heel on God, and I liked this. This was good. If this is the first I had seen of this guy, I wouldn’t know he’s a blithering idiot. I would never have any idea if this was the way I had seen this guy first,” 

Miro was also furious over his AEW World Title Eliminator tournament snub. It remains to be seen what the company has in store for Miro as his momentum has stopped since losing the TNT Championship.
