CM Punk Says He Doesn’t Need 30 Minutes To Beat Kenny Omega

CM Punk has been dominating force in AEW, and he considers another force of domination in AEW a rather light threat. Punk is of the opinion that Kenny Omega would face defeat by him in less than 30 minutes.

Punk hasn’t really fully unlocked his potential in AEW yet. While he’s not getting the center stage currently, the momentum from the crowd and his performance are sure to propel him into that direction. AEW has a system of who is better than whom, and Punk is yet to rise up in the ranks.

Kenny Omega is the gold standard in the AEW roster, sitting on the throne with his World Heavyweight Champion. As Punk appeared in an interview with Sport1, he revealed that Omega won’t get the same time in the ring with Punk as he did with Bryan Danielson.

The AEW Title is definitely something I want. I look at my career as being, I haven’t wrestled for seven years, I can’t come in and challenge for a world title right away. I look at the situation with Bryan Danielson coming in and wrestling Kenny Omega in his first match, but it wasn’t for the title. When I wrestle Kenny Omega, it’s gonna be for the title and I’m not going to need 30 minutes to beat him.

CM Punk has won over Darby Allin, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Daniel Garcia with record of 3-0. If AEW goes into a direction of keeping his winning streak intact, a match with Kenny Omega might be the biggest payoff AEW might give its fans.
