Adam Cole’s contributions to NXT during his four-year-long run cannot be understated. He helped usher in one of the brand’s best eras and fans will always appreciate him for that.

Adam Cole was done with NXT after TakeOver 36 and shortly after that, Adam Cole’s WWE contract also expired, making him free agent. On top of that, he didn’t sign another contract with WWE, so he was free to do whatever he wanted to.

Adam Cole decided to go to AEW as he made his debut at AEW All Out earlier this month and it is a decision he was very happy to make. Adam Cole also loves video games and regularly streams video games on Twitch.

While speaking to Danger Zone podcast with Chris Denker, Adam Cole revealed his immense disappointment playing WWF Attitude on the Playstation back in 1999.

“The most disappointed I’ve ever been in a wrestling video game, because I know we both love pro wrestling and we both love video games, but I remember when WWF Attitude, when Stone Cold got on the top rope — I bought this game. PlayStation One controller in hand, dude, ready to go. Stone Cold [was the] first option. He walks up on the top rope and his taunt, instead of [his usual pose on the ropes with two fists raised in the air, his palms were out].”

Game development was still trying to figure out exactly how they wanted to make wrestling games, so this is no knock on them, but I remember as a 10-year-old kid playing this game he’s so pumped like, ‘I can’t wait to watch him get up on the turnbuckle’ and then… ‘What in the blue hell is this?!'”

Booker T is all for Adam Cole becoming the AEW World Champion eventually. It remains to be seen whether Adam Cole will be as successful in AEW as he was in NXT or not.
