WWE is on NBCUniversal’s USA Network for RAW and NXT. That is becoming a problem for fans who have YouTube TV, because the two sides were having a problem with their next deal.

It was previously reported that NBCU and YouTube’s contract talks were not going well. There was a real risk that fans who have YouTube TV wouldn’t be able to watch RAW and NXT 2.0 every week.

This deal was at the “pull the plug” phase of contract talks, because they will often do that. According to PW Insider, the two side have signed a “short extension” on their existing agreement. It was not noted exactly how much more time they have, but it is possible that USA Network and all other NBCU Channels will leave YouTube TV if they can’t work something out.

NBC Universal and YouTube TV have come to terms for a short extension on their existing deal as they continue to try to negotiate a new carriage agreement between the two parties, it was announced this morning.

We can only hope that the two sides will realize how viewers will suffer from their lack of negotiation skills. Hopefully, they all come to an agreement and it is a long-term one, but television deals are always in some form of negotiation at this juncture.
