Jinder Mahal returned to WWE television flanked by two larger men this time. He found a lot of success and held the WWE Title with the Singh Brothers backing him up and the Modern Day Maharaja wanted to replicate that magic with new people.

Inside the Ropes recently spoke to Jinder Mahal where he admitted to asking Vince McMahon for his new Indian backup. He wanted Indus Sher, but then Saurav was sent back to India. That is when Shanky came into the picture and things seem to be working.

So when I came back, I spoke to Vince about giving me the Indus Sher tag team, Saurav and Rinku, Veer and Saurav. Unfortunately, Saurav was in India, so I got Shanky.

Despite the fact that Saurav couldn’t join him on the main roster, there is still hope that he will return. That way Jinder Mahal can grow his stable and perhaps gain a stronger foothold in WWE.

So it wasn’t the original plan, but, you know, making it work, and hopefully when Saurav makes it back. He’s dealing with some visa issues. I think once they get sorted, you know, let’s add more more to the group because the Indus Sher tag team in NXT, phenomenal, great look.

Jinder Mahal and his compadres won their match on RAW this week. That match might have been a simple one-off bout on RAW, but it was still a good sign that Vince McMahon wants to continue his momentum. We will have to see what happens during the 2021 WWE Draft, but odds are Jinder Mahal is crossing his fingers that McMahon will keep his group together.
